Parts Used - 1982 Cobra Commander

Ah, what we could have had in 1997.  Here you see what was initially planned for what eventually became a Toys R Us exclusive.  Of course, what we ultimately got was recolored 1987 Battle Armor CC, and not this far cooler figure.  Rumor is there was some sort of mixup inside Hasbro when some flunky was told to find the Cobra Commander mold.  Whatever happened, the fact remains that this figure as initially proposed would have been far cooler than the final product.  For anyone keeping track, I used a 1982 "Mickey Mouse" Cobra Commander torso on this one.  Before you come to Iowa and smack me, it was so badly sunburnt and paint worn it wasn't worth the plastic it was made out of.
